This file existed as an alias because earlier drafts referenced both "Audit" and "Trace" as separate concepts. They are the same artifact: a hash-chained record of every governed event.

| Audit log | The full hash-chained record (the compliance evidence trail). One row per governed call's final decision. |
| Trace | A single trace_id threaded through every hop of one agent action. Many audit rows can share one trace. |
